It’s been quite a week. Not as busy as it will be when school starts up again, but getting there. Which is good, because when school starts I have to somehow fit all of this exercise into my day. I’m looking forward to the challenge, because this summer I’ve felt so proud of myself and so good (physically and emotionally) about the way that exercise makes me feel that I don’t want it to stop just because the summer does.
Oddly enough, I am not doing well on my own challenge, Bella’s 30-Day EA Sports Active Challenge. What’s up with that, you ask? Well, with all of the other activity I’m doing, especially my training sessions twice a week, I haven’t had the energy to keep up with it. I do it a few times a week, but I haven’t made the challenge. It kinda sucks when the person holding the challenge fails, right? LOL. Well, hopefully those who joined the challenge have been better than me. I do think that once school starts I will be able to do it, because it’s the perfect morning workout.
I am loving the BodyBugg. I really like the information that it provides, which not only helps to motivate me, it makes me feel proud of myself. Yesterday I burned over 3800, with a calorie deficit of over 2000, which is phenomenal. It is really nice to have a non-scale measurement that I can be proud of.
Speaking of pride, I was really happy to discover that a couple of the exercises Jimmy (my trainer) has me doing in the gym are getting a bit easier. Also, ones that I think will be way too hard for me (like yesterday’s medicine ball diskus throw) aren’t. I had a great time throwing that heavy ball around and hitting the back wall at they gym.
Food is going well, for the most part. I did have a I’ve-lost-my-mind meal at Cheesecake Factory (big surprise!) on Friday. I did ok with the salad, which was only 600 calories or so (compared to their other offerings, this was definitely one of the healthiest choices). Then my friend wanted to order cheesecake. I thought we’d split a piece. She didn’t. So we each ordered our own, and even though sweets aren’t my thing, how could you not like their new Layered Red Velvet Cake Cheesecake? Seriously? That was a slice of heaven and the devil all wrapped into one. So good, yet so bad. Ah, the paradox. I ate the whole thing! I was in shock at myself. But, I’ve been working out really well all week, and I’ve been back on track with my food before and since, so I’m not too worried.
All in all, it’s been a very good, strong week. I hope all of you have been doing just was well.
