Life is still really hectic, but SO much better since my talk last week with both my mom and Jimmy. I’m feeling a lot better about my slow weight loss and know that the pounds are bound to come off, at some point. I just keep reminding myself to be PATIENT.
In the midst of crazy, crazy days, cutting out rice/pasta/potatoes from my dinner meals has really made a big difference in how I feel. I used to crave sweets every single night after I ate dinner, and that has all but disappeared by eliminating my nightly carbs. I’m so glad I made that change, and I’m finding that it’s really not as hard as you’d think. If I’m really craving pasta or bread I just have it at lunch. It really works well with the idea of a diet in moderation.
And my other goal for the past week – cardio for at least 30 minutes every day – I’ve done really well with meeting this goal: Tuesday: Wii Fit Plus (30 min) Wednesday: Personal training with Jimmy (50 min) Thursday: Wii Biggest Loser (30 min) Friday: gym workout – ab work (10 min) and stationary bike (20 min) Saturday: Zumba! (60 min) Sunday: 2 mile “fun run” walk with my sister and nieces (60 min) Monday: Personal training with Jimmy (50 min)
Coming Up This Week:
I’m looking forward my weigh-in tomorrow. It’s not quite a full week doing this no carbs at night thing, but hopefully it will show good results.
This Saturday (Halloween), my sister and I are goign to participate in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer 5K. I’m really looking forward to it because it’s for a good cause, but also because I want to practice not being so panicked at the start of the race. I’m going to try to think of it the way my sister said, “Bella, what do you want more? To seem like you’re keeping pace with everyone, or to just complete the race?” And she’s right – I’ve been psyching myself out and I need to stop that.
On a lighter note, this is the shirt I bought to wear to the walk. Can’t wait to wear it.
I hope everyone has a great week!
