I don’t know about you, but ever since the time changed on Sunday, I feel like someone plugged in my batteries! I’ve got so much energy and feel so happy. I think part of it is the sunshine – we’ve been having great weather since Saturday; we even hit the low 70s on Monday. I feel like being about and about, and want to workout more than ever.
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve also been feeling a bit tired in the mornings, especially because it’s still dark outside. But once that sun starts shining, I put aside any feelings of exhaustion I have and I just power through.
For example, yesterday I brought my gym back with me in the morning, so I could go right after work. I had meetings after work, and was sort of dragging. On the car ride home, I started thinking about going home first to “rest” for a bit and then going to the gym. But knowing myself as I do, I knew that if I did that, I probably wouldn’t have gone to the gym later. So I strengthened my resolve and drove straight to the gym, worked out, and felt great afterward.
My main goal for the week is to get my activity in doing workouts that I haven’t done in a while. Here’s the plan:
Sunday: hot yoga with my sis
Monday: treadmill, recumbant bike, and abs
Tuesday: Aqua aerobics
Wednesday: rest day
Thursday: RLR training
Friday: EA Sports Active + Wii FitPlus
Saturday: RLR training
Sunday: bike riding outdoors with friends
Monday: RLR training
I’m looking forward to an active, healthy, sun-filled week ahead!
