How to Look Like You Got a Good Night’s Sleep.. Even When You Haven’t

We all have busy lives and the more hectic it gets, the less sleep we tend to get. Just because you are tired, it doesn’t mean you have to look the part. Here are a few natural remedies to try at home so you can get that beauty sleep look.

First and foremost, ladies make sure you are removing your make up every single night. I can’t stress how important this is for your eyes and skin. When left over night, make up clogs your pores, and produces acne. Eye makeup can also cause irritation and infections so make it a habit to remove it every night before bed time. On the plus side it will keep you looking younger if you do.

Eyes

Puffy eyes

Solution — Try the spoon in the fridge trick. It works wonders. Just hold the round side of the spoon right on top of your closed eye.  Find eye gel with caffeine in it to further do the trick.

Dark Circles under eyes

Solution – Try used green tea bags (a few minutes in the freezer before using it will help) to reduce dark blood vessels under the eyes and the natural antioxidants found in it can help decrease inflammation. Just put one tea bag on each eye for five minutes.

Skin

Rough skin

Solution – Exfoliate to get rid of all the dead skin cells and improve circulation. Make sure to moisturize right after (try to find one that contains vitamin C in it).

Irritated skin

Solution—stress can cause skin inflammation due to the increase of the cortisol hormone in the body.   Meditating for 20 minutes can help you feel better rested.

Dull skin

Solution – Add milk and ice cubes in a bowl, then dip a wash cloth in it. Place it on your skin for 5 minutes, and then rinse your face. The combination will brighten your skin.  Also, drinking a full glass of water right when you wake up and following it up with more through the day will brighten and rehydrate your skin.
