I’ve been gone the past two Fridays, but I’m back this week with another edition of “Fun-Filled Friday.” I’m gonna have to make it quick because I’ve been up since 3:30AM today working on the final version of my upcoming new book 21 Life Lessons From Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb before it goes off to the printers for publication early next week. If all goes as planned (and you know how those things can go sometimes), then it should be available for purchase in mid-to-late September.

Okay, so let’s get going with this week’s “Fun-Filled Friday.” My wife Christine loves that web site “I Can Has Cheezburger” and frequently sends me any low-carb appropriate pics to share with you. Here’s the latest one:
Good thing my four cats can has cheezburger whenever they want in the Jimmy Moore household! Or maybe I could serve them up some of that freshly-cut “sirlion” steaks:
This was an actual piece of meat sold in New Zealand that mistakenly put “sirlion” instead of “sirloin.” Ahhhh, let’s all bow down to the great Sir Lion! Speaking of meat, this was cute:
The vegan support group needs each other, but the carnivores can “Keep being AWESOME!” Poor veggie-only eaters!
Did you hear about the dopey thing I did earlier this month? Well, the LATEST dopey thing anyway. After watching this past season of American Idol, Christine talked about going to see the tour as it came near our area this summer. Since we live in South Carolina, I noticed they were coming to Charlotte, NC on August 1, 2009. I don’t know why I thought it was on a Sunday, but it was actually on a Saturday night. We drove 75 minutes up I-85 on that Sunday night only to realize we missed the concert by 24 hours. We were so disappointed! Here’s a little bit of what we missed:
Bummer, right? Well, I’m making it up to Christine by taking her to the Saturday, September 5th Indianapolis concert. We’ll fly in that afternoon, stay at a hotel a couple of blocks from Conseco Fieldhouse, go out to eat at the Hard Rock Cafe, and fly back home on Sunday. I gave HER the tickets to hold on to this time around so we don’t miss the concert AGAIN! LOL!
Are you a Facebook fiend? If so, then check out this list of 12 Facebook characters that CNN has compiled and describe as “annoying.” Some are, some aren’t. If you’d like to join my LLVLC Facebook page, then check it out by clicking here. My personal page where I talk about anything and everything happening in my life (but not quite the TMI kind of stuff in that CNN piece!) can be found here. And then there’s my Twitter page which is another whole can of worms altogether!
Finally, are you a Garfield fan? My wife sure is and LOVES to draw the infamous fat cat whenever she gets the chance. She even has a whole corner of a room full of stuffed Garfield toys — what can I say, she’s a fan! But have you ever wondered what the Garfield comic would look like if you removed Garfield from it? That’s exactly what Garfield Minus Garfield does and it’s really quite fascinating. This puts the character of Jon in such a different light, doesn’t it? Too funny!
Well, I gotta get back to finalizing my new book now, but have yourself a fantastic weekend! Send me your cute, fun, or funny “Fun-Filled Friday” stuff anytime at email@example.com. SEE YA!
