This was the first week that it actually felt like summer.  The temperatures are soaring, the thunderstorms are rolling in every afternoon, and I can’t get the thought of drinking a margarita poolside out of my brain.

With the 4th of July holiday approaching next week and Neal’s and my 1 year anniversary on the 7th, I’m hoping to soak up a lot of the summer next week.  I’m thinking BBQ, laying by the pool, crossing things off my summer to do list , pickling something, and going for long walks with Theodore.

In the spirit of soaking up the summer, today’s favorite finds remind me of summer… enjoy!

Raspberry Basil Limoncello Cocktail – The combination of raspberry and basil just sounds divine… and then you add limoncello… I don’t think it gets much better!

Favorite Finds

Spicy Grilled Shrimp Quesadillas – This dish has Neal’s name written all over it.  He loves seafood and Mexican food, so when you combine the two it’s just magical!

Favorite Finds

Coconut Lime Sugar Cookies – Coconut. Lime. Sugar. Cookies.  I just love the thought of a sweet, tangy, tropical treat! Takes me back to the Florida Keys!

Favorite Finds

Bread and Butter Pickles - I am DETERMINED to pickle something this summer.  Bread and butter pickles are definitely something Neal would enjoy.

Favorite Finds

Pineapple Coconut Margaritas – I love non-traditional margaritas.  The addition of pineapple and coconut just sounds amazing.  Oh to be at the pool right now…

Favorite Finds

Tuck and Cover Hair Tutorial – My hair is getting really long, but I am hesitant to cut it because of how it might change how my football helmet fits (I know, football player problems), so I love how this hairdo gets my hair off my neck but in a cute style!

Favorite Finds

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork – Most nights, I want to spent my time outside and not in the kitchen.  Using the slow cooker is a great way to get a fabulous dinner without A. having to turn the oven on and B. having to slave in the kitchen all day.  Pulled pork takes me back to my summers in Texas, which I love!
