Blood pressure pills can actually make you gain water weight and alter your metabolism via specific metabolic pathways. They typically don't make you "lose" weight.


You should lose weight if possible even if you are taking blood pressure pills because you wil reduce the risk of problems associated with high blood pressure. The pills won't make your lose weight but please take losing weight very seriously. Do it slowly but do it . Don't go on any fad quick weight loss diet but change your eating habits and begin to exercise, slowly, once your blood pressure is stable.
