Dieting for Weight Loss and Not for Weight-Loss Maintenance Won't Cut It

The most frequent immediate cause for failing to maintain weight you've lost is dieting. This is the case when dieting isn’t accompanied by
necessary behavior change. You lose weight, but it’s all about the food, and
very little about you as a person. If you diet this way, your achievement won’t
hold up when you put it to the test of maintaining it. Your victory is hollow.
The solution is to change your behavior as you change your eating habits.
