Diet tip: Please don't make me think

So you blow your diet.

But what is causing it to happen just then and there? What is the nature of such a time? What is the nature of you at such a time?

This is the puzzle to solve. It's not the eating you're so attached to. It's what the eating does for you.

Some people give up at this point because to look below the surface seems hard. It's not so difficult, really.

Let's say you run up against something - inner or outer - and everything in you tells you, you can't handle it. So it produces a breakdown of thought and feeling, which quickly turns into the act of eating.

If you can carry thought through the experience, you will dramatically change it. There will be a shift in emphasis as you use a deeper level of reasoning.

You will ask: How is this problem of mine constructed at this moment? Where did it come from this time? What is it made of? What are its essential parts?

The big question isn't what are you eating, but why are you eating. This gets to the heart of the matter, and gives you the chance to deal without using food as your main method.
