diet plan

Posted by Grumpy

is there a good diet plan for someone wanting to lose weight that will not interfere with my hypothyroid treatment?  my thyroid function is finally balanced again and do not wish to do anything to mess that up again.   however, i have an extra 50-75 pounds to lose.  i am beginning an exercise program and will return to karate but any diet planning would be greatly appreciated.  thanks

Dear Grumpy, Don't go on any low calorie diet, fasts, or weird food plans in which you eat strange foods at strange times. But most sensible diets will work and if you simply eat lots of vegetables, whole grains, fat free dairy products and lean protein, you will lose weight. Build up your muscle mass because that will help burn off calories as well. Be patient. You won't lose all that weight in a few months but you will lose it and regain your think figure . Judy Wurtman
