Definitely Diggin' the Protein Shake Thing

They are so tastey and it actually feels like a "treat" in the afternoon. At first I was a sucker on the low carb days because on those days you're not supposed to use milk (because it's higher GI/GL carb) and they recommend using water instead (ewwwwww) BUT I've realized that the Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Breeze fits the low carb bill and turns it into deliciousness.

It's only 40 cals per cup, 3g fat, 2g carb, 1g fibre, 0g sugar and 1g protein and the only ingredients are: purified water, almonds, tapioca starch, natural vanilla flavour with other natural flavours, calcium carbonate, sea salt, potassium citrate, carrageenan and soy lecithin.

(So if anyone knows why any of those ingredients are bad or screw up being "low carb," please speak up. You might be raining on my parade, but I want to know!)

AND do you remember PB2 powdered peanut butter I bought a while ago? It's perfect in these shakes. One of my favourites is:

1c Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Breeze
2 scoops Chocolate Ultimate Protein Powder
1 tbsp PB2 Powdered peanut butter
ice (except if you're like me and at work)
