Friday night, Eric and I went to Brenner’s Steakhouse with another couple to take advantage of Houston Restaurant Week. We got three fabulous courses.

The steak was my favorite part. It was so delicious. I didn’t love the cheesecake but the bites I had of the apple strudel were incredible. We also split a great bottle of wine, chosen by our dining companion, Kyle, after much furrowed-brow deliberation. It was really fun to hang out with another couple. I mean, God knows I’m lacking friends here and will take what I can get, but I genuinely like them, and they genuinely like food, so I think there will be more good food in our future.

Oh and, yes, I wore clothes with those heels . This dress in navy, as a matter of fact.

It was a great start to an otherwise ridiculously bad weekend! But more on that later — for now, I’m off to attack my spin bike.
