A study by the University of Minnesota found that people who were dieting will spend up to three times as much while shopping as those who aren’t.Evidently we can’t use our willpower in more than one area at a time.I tend to spend more pampering myself if I’m on a diet.It’s my way of rewarding myself with something other than food.How about you?Have you ever noticed an increase in spending when you diet?
Sometimes we can get caught up in the diet and buying exactly what we're supposed to. That's another reason it's not a good idea to diet. Rather, we should strive to tweak our way of eating and keep re-adjusting to more healthful foods. Many healthy foods are not expensive (ie. beans), you just need to learn how to cook and shop wisely!
