I have found an approach to weight reduction and control that works very well for me. I weigh myself every morning and keep a continuous plot of my weight on Microsoft Excel. I know the weight I wish to maintain and I adjust my calorie intake based upon obvious trends in my weight day by day. This is easy to do while I am at home, but usually on trips my weight creeps up... but no problem, I can bring it back down rather quickly upon my return.
