It's important to be able to solve daily situations that can threaten your commitment to changing your way of eating. Remembering to problem solve effectively can help you avoid  emotional eating, compulsive overeating, and other self defeating eating patterns.

You need to give your daily difficulties the considered solutions they deserve rather than eating as a way of managing them.

As you well know, effective problem solving involves the following:

  • Defining the problem
  • Thinking of options to deal with the problem
  • Choosing the best option
  • Making your plan to use the option you've chosen
  • Executing the plan
  • Evaluating the result

Besides helping you with overcoming compulsive overeating, bingeing, and emotional eating.you will find that effective problem solving is the answer for good weight control, and it is certainly equips you with a great weight loss solution as well.

So, the next time you run up against a difficult situation, remember those problem solving skills of yours.
