Change is Good

If you had to eat the exact same thing day in, day out, you’d get a little bored after a while, right? Well, imagine how your body feels if you put it through the same workout day in, day out. It gets bored, it adapts to the routine, and you get less results from the same old regime. Even subtle changes can help your body build more muscle, burn fat, and lose weight more quickly, because it’s thrown off kilter. Instead of the usual five-minute treadmill warm-up, try jumping rope or bounding up and down stairs. Or try the elliptical, rowing, or Stairmaster machine instead. Change the order of your routine. Experiment with different classes if that’s your thing. Even better, get the heck outside! If you challenge yourself, you’ll be amazed and what you can accomplish, and your body will reward you with impressive results.
