When you want to change something in your behavior, psychology researchers talk about something called "decisional balance". This is a term that refers to the pros and cons people consider about changing the particular behavior in question.
The idea is that once the pros (positives you see in changing your behavior) outweigh the cons (the negatives of changing the behavior), then you are much more likely to move ahead into an active plan for change.
So: What are the pros for you of changing the way you eat? What are the cons of changing the way you eat?
Do you have more reasons to do it than not to do it?
