Calculations

Posted Dec 03 2009 12:00am
I started measuring everything on a food scale this week after reading a story about a woman who didn't lose any weight simply because she wasn't weighing all of her food. It has come to my realization that my weight loss plateau could be due to this unfortunate miscalculation of daily calorie consumption. I know, shocker right? For example, what I thought was a 200 calorie portion of steak was actually more like 450. So if I'm underestimating my calories by 100-200 per meal, then I'm eating at maintenance and not in a deficit at all.

Anyway, I've been pretty much in diet mode perfection since my binge episode last Saturday. The scale seems to approve because I'm down to 201.5 pounds. I really hope I can push into onederland next week.

Enough diet talk. Anyone watching The Amazing Race? Meghan and Cheyne are so Goddamn boring (Nick and Star v. 2.0). I really hope Brian and Erika win, although I wouldn't mind it if Sam and Dan took home the grand prize. Also, my friend Anna told me that Jeff and Jordan from Big Brother are gonna be on the next season which is awesome, even though I know both of them are gonna lose rather early on in the race. Why couldn't it have been Michele and Russell? They would have been a KICK ASS team.

Survivor has been a lot of fun to watch, but only because Russell is hella entertaining. I would love to see him win the grand prize. Oh, and apparently my first ever reality TV crush Colby from Season 2 and All stars will be a castaway on the next season (All Stars 2.0). I've heard that Sugar is the first one voted off, which isn't surprising to me AT ALL.

This season of Dexter has been fucking fantastic, aside from the Maria and Baptista soap opera storyline. Who would have thought that John Lithgow could play a serial killer? Micheal C Hall is brilliant as always.

Ok, well that's all for now. Talk to you all later!
