Bulging Biceps

Posted Jan 27 2009 8:16pm

So, I've upped my protein a million percent and I've started concentrating on more effective strength training together with HIIT. Although I do include full body strength, I figure my arms are my main focus because:
  1. I continue to have shoulder issues yet to be determined and strengthening arms and shoulders will only help me; and

  2. This is the only part of me that will be exposed on my wedding day right!

So my issue with my arms is the same as everyone elses - flabby and bat winged. I hate the sight in the mirror when I'm going side arm raises because they are not a pretty sight and to be quite frank, they don't fit in with the rest of me on the face of it. I'm pretty sure alot of it is the loose skin issue, but there is still fat there to lose. But I do wonder if losing the fat that's there will only make it saggier? Who knows. [Note to self - no side arm raises on the wedding day :-P]

On the positive side, I'm already seeing results in my bicep tone BIG TIME. I notice a huge difference in progress since I've been getting all the extra protein. If you were to erase the bat wings from distraction, you can see that my bicep is becoming pretty pronounced when I flex and it feels much more hard and firm. This happened in maybe 3 or 4 upper body sessions of just following basic exercises from the poster stuck to the wall beside the dumbbells.

I feel all brutish like now! lol I'm not afraid of muscles and I don't believe that I'll ever be "manly" looking, but POOOOP on the friggin bat wings! Pffffft!
