Best Detox Program

Posted by Nirmala N.

What's the best whole-body detox program out there for someone who wants to cleanse but doesn't have the time to change their dietary habits or take a ton of supplements?

Raw Foods Cleanse. I imagine that when you said you can't do anything to change your lifestyle you were joking a bit - cause how else are you going to do a cleanse? The best thing you can do if you don't want to change too much is eat fresh fruits, veggies, nuts and grains for 10 days. And tons and tons of water. Maybe at night consider having a dieter's tea but don't push it. The point is to do something that's just naturally good for you.
Take The Time. There is one program described in the book Clear Body and Clear Mind by L. Ron Hubbard. Several organizations deliver this program with great success. I did the program in 1980, and still notice the benefits -- it's effective and lasting. With all the toxins we put in our body and the environmental toxins that our body absorbs, this program works and cleanses the body completely. The program has to be strictly followed with exercise, vitamins and sauna -- but like I said -- well worth the time. Here is a link to Academy of Detoxification Specialists who describe this program in detail. http://www.detoxacademy.org/detox_basics.htm
Changing Your Habits. Hey CLR, I'm only half-kidding about the dietary changes. I actually eat pretty healthy as it is right now, but what I meant was a detox program that doesn't get me to completely switch my diet to specific foods for two or three weeks, thus making my routine a little more difficult. Now, I eat tons of fresh fruits, veggies, whole grains, and fish--but getting on a juice diet for three weeks would be really time-consuming and kind of a disruption in my pattern. I guess I'm looking for a detox program that isn't quite so drastic. (I'm also interested in the Ayurvedic Panchakarma, but that's about 21 days and should be done with no distractions, so it's a matter of making time for it!)
