Dieting uses energy. Then you need to replenish that energy.
This is where many women run into trouble. Why? Because they don't know how to replenish energy in any way other than by eating food.
But there are other ways. If you are hungry, food is certainly the answer. But it's not always food that that you need.
The energy you use for dieting - the self-control energy, the energy you need to focus, to deal with ups and downs of life while on a diet - all of this can be replenished by some good self-care.
A helpful rule of thumb when you are dieting is to lessen the restrictions and pressures in other areas of your life. If you don't do that, you are likely to become depleted. That's when you are most vulnerable to diet failure.
Don't just put your dieting first. Put you first. Take your needs very seriously. Give yourself extra consideration. Go easy on yourself. Don't be unkind or too judgmental. Appreciate what you are doing as much as you can.
