Any woman who struggles with her weight knows that self-control is one the biggest issues--and self-control is always a balancing act. It's the short-term goal vs. the long-term goal every time. The short-term goal is immediate gratification, grabbing what you want when you want it on the spot, to satisfy a desire or a craving. The long-term goal is weight loss, and feeling better at a lower weight.
You can prepare yourself for that moment, when the long-term and the short-term goals challenge one another. One of the most important things to know is that this on-the-spot push and pull can be planned for. If you have a plan firmly in mind, you are less likely to let short-term self-gratification win the moment.
For more about how to plan, go to Find Your Issue in the right hand column of the blog page, click it open, and put in anything to do with planning.
