This weekend I spent a majority of my time at home playing Street Fighter on the 360, thinking about what to do with my life (yes, it has changed again), and not binging. I didn't go crazy on Saturday night feeding myself to the point of pure and utter self-loathing like I usually do.
Point being, not going out with friends made it much easier for me to stay on track and lose a whopping 3 pounds. Hopefully, I'll be able to get over the 100 pound mark (again) in another week, but I digress....
How do you maintain a social life without eating a bunch of crap?
How do you do it?
Every time I go over to a friend's house, there is the temptation to just eat whatever is there. It's like the social gathering was planned with eating pizza and chips in mind. Do I feel sort of like a
douchebag when I decline food that someone made for me? A little bit. But I guess I'd rather be a douche than a
fatass.
How about when you eat out? Is it me or do the waitresses and waiters look like they want to stab you with a fork when you ask them a billion questions about what is in their strawberry fields salad with walnuts? It's almost easier to not get anything, but then you look like a douche for sitting there with only an empty glass of water that needs a refill.
And how bout when you go to a bar, and everyone wants you to get hammered, but you are like, "um that beer has like 175 calories, no
wayz." It's like dude, can't we do something that doesn't involve consuming calories of poisonous shit?
Birthday parties, family gatherings, holidays---the list goes on and on. I just want to lose weight. Why does everything have to be centered around food?
