A rebound that’s good for you

Today at Book Club, AM told us about a great way she’s been fitting in exercise.  She bought a mini-trampoline, also known as a rebounder, and does it when she watches t.v.

What a great idea!!!  I’m going to buy one as soon as I get my summer grant money, which should be at the beginning of October.  I can definitely see myself jumping around on it while I’m watching t.v., and given the amount of t.v. that I tend to watch, the pounds should melt off! :)

AM was talking about the benefits of rebounding, and that it helps your body on a cellular level.  I found this article that’s really interesting about the benefits of rebounding.  The article claims that rebounding is 68% more effective than regular exercise.  I’m not sure if that’s accurate, but it sure seems like a lot of fun.

AM said that her rebounder/mini-trampoline came with a stability bar, and I can see the benefits of having that extra support, especially in the beginning when I’m still getting my balance figured out.

I think this might be just the thing for me to do on the days when I don’t feel like going out to the gym - I envision plenty of rainy nights in the future where this would fit in perfectly.  Plus, it’s small enough to put under the bed and out of the way when people come over.

I’ll let you know how the rebounding goes, once I get it, but I think this is going to be a blast!
