Last week I talked about getting out from behind the camera. I just wanted to report that I did indeed! Our baby turned 5 last Sunday and then promptly started Kinder the next day. Of course our boys started too, one in 2nd and the oldest is a Senior. The night before our daughters birthday we had our niece over for a sleep over. We did some typical girly things like manicures. As a scrapbooker and lover of taking picutres its not unsual for me to take pictures of little things like that, however its very different to suggest that Jon point the camera at me!
I'd hoped to get a picture with the kids before school on the 1st day but it just didn't work out, the kids were so excited to get to school and not happy with my incesent shutter clicking!
Jon and I have spent the day planning and trying to set some goals. You'll see them in the side bar as we work through September. We are both committed to walking a total of 50 miles. Thanks to Runkeeper.com that I use on my iPhone it will be easy to track that! We are also committed to doing a video or alternate work out 3 days a week.
We took some progress pictures and for the first time took measurements. I'm not always a big fan of measurements. When you are as flabby as I, its easy to pull the tape a little tighter and harder to remember where you placed the tape the time before. But, I know we will eventually hit a plateau and I hope that the tape measure will help us realize just how far we've really come.
While I post Jon is busy in the kitchen preparing a great smelling breakfast for tomorrow and is planning out the other meals for the week. I feel so much more positive when we start the week off like this!
