Before I even worked in the music industry, I loved going to concerts. A lot. I'm probably underselling that; I GO TO A LOT OF SHOWS.
I am eager to impress that upon you because the show I went to on Saturday night was incredible and that sentiment should not be taken lightly.
What I probably need to do is post something about the best concerts I've ever been to but it somehow seems like a conflict of interest now. Perhaps another time.
In any case, we need to talk about some talented dudes.
On the right there are Jared and Shannon Leto. 30 Seconds to Mars. I'm a new fan. They are amazing. They're fans are crazy and the vibe of the concert was indescribable. They brag they're a cult -- and they kind of are. But in the best way.
Panic at the Disco opened for them. Yes, those guys. They' re still around. Or at least, two of the original members are, with two more guys. And I love them but clearly, the star of the show is my future ex-husband, Brendon Urie. He's in the snappy tux on the left.
I'm gushing. I just had a great time.
And really, just watch Jared Leto nail this cover of Rihanna's "Stay." He did this at the concert. We melted.
And that's not even all of it. The next night, last night, I saw P!nk in concert. And she is AMAZING. This is the second time I've seen her and in my head, I'm still trying to decide which time was better. She puts on an incredible show each and every time. The girl is FEARLESS .
And her opening band, New Politics? Also fantastic. More cuties. I couldn't resist. Lead singer David Boyd joins us on this happy, happy Menday. (P.S. Ironically, New Politics opened for Panic at the Disco and 30 Seconds to Mars but they went on so earl I missed them, so I'm thankful they also opened for P!nk.)
Also? He break dances during the show. And does back flips.
