I recently interviewed Sam Visnic, founder of EndYourBackPainNow.com and he shared some great tips on getting rid of lower back pain.
Here are 5 key areas to look at:
Your posture is very important when it comes to back pain, especially lower back pain. If your shoulders slouch or you sit with a large curve in your spine, it can cause imbalances over time in your muscles, tiring them out and forcing them to overcompensate or shut down.
2. Muscle Problems
Some people have muscle problems that contribute to back pain. Usually from postural issues, these muscle problems can cause the muscles to become chronically tight, cutting off good circulation and oxygenation of the muscle tissues. You can also get muscle problems from pulling or tearing a muscle by lifting something improperly or strenuous exercises.
3. Skeletal Imbalance
Some people also have skeletal imbalances that can lead to lower back pain. Seeing a chiropractor regularly can help you keep your spine straight and healthy and avoid any major problems down the road.
Stress also plays a huge role in lower back pain. Stress can also tighten the muscles and cause imbalances over time.
Diet is another key to lower back pain. Many times people eat such poor diets and become over-inflamed. This chronic inflammation can make your pain receptors go off and make pain worse. Furthermore, the inflammation can damage the muscles themselves and contribute to problems.
A good diet should consist of plenty of fresh raw fruits, vegetables, and berries and healthy Omega-3 fats to fight inflammation and keep your circulation healthy throughout your body.
