3 Tips to lose the last few pounds

Losing weight is never easy, but it is the last few pounds that are especially difficult. They just refuse to melt away. Being calorie conscious for over a year, I have lost a good amount of weight. But after a point, I found it increasingly difficult to lose more. I follow some effective points to help me shed the last few pounds. Here they are.

  1. Keep a food diary
  2. Exercise for the same duration, but increase the intensity.
  3. Eat a decent breakfast, followed by a light lunch and lighter dinner.

I've found that it's easy for me to lose quite a bit of weight calorie counting, but once the diet fades, the pounds bounce back quickly. The reason for this is that I could never figure out where I would start to gain - or rather, what type of calories I really should be taking in based on my activity level. Once I started to keep track, it became clear what I needed to stay steady at to maintain a consistent weight.
