It's hard to "walk it off"!

“They” are always talking about “walking it off” – any kind of injury or trauma. You hear it from sports coaches, military drill instructors, parents. I have never been able to walk it off! I go mental if my foot falls asleep or if my toes cramp up; I have been known to yell for assistance loud enough to fetch a neighbor. When I’m hurt, I wanna crawl in bed! Plus, I’m always suspicious of those college football coaches who say “walk it off” – I feel like they don’t want to lose a star player to injury and are willing to sacrifice the kid’s whole future for one game.
