Safety tips for early morning/late night runs..... When I run early in the morning or late at night I stay in residential neighborhoods. I could be wrong, but it seems like someone would hear me if I got into trouble--help is at least theoretically all around me. It isn?t just about bad guys?if you fall or twist an ankle or something else happens to you by accident it is a lot more likely that you could find help if you really needed it when you are in a populated area. I also only run where I have cell phone coverage for the same reason. Lastly I let my sister know (via text message) where I am going and when I left, and then check back in with her when I return. At least if I don't show up for some extended period SOMEONE will know where to come look for me.
