Sand and Indoor VBall

Stanford Intramurals offers opportunities to participate in volleyball, either sand or indoor, almost year round. Indoor (6v6) is offered winter quarter and sand (4v4) is offered summer and spring, not to mention the Sand Volleyball Classic Tournament held in early May!

Is indoor volleyball the same as Wallyball? Wallyball is played in a raquetball court and you play off the walls. Super fun and you don't need too many people to play.

Are there any opportunity to learn/ game at Intramurals as a beginner? I would love to participate but don't want to disturb their game if they are all good. I'm also interested in volley ball at the Quad. I guess they are just casual group with family and friends?
