We always wonder if detoxification and cleansing can help with weight-loss.
Several companies have developed detox products to drop a few pounds in just a few days.
But stay alert: it’s not as easy as it sounds. These products work but we have to understand the type of results you can get before starting any program.
First, detoxification and cleansing are very important for any weight-loss program. Unwanted toxins enter the human body everyday, mainly from the food we eat.
Consequently, a poor diet is most likely responsible for a system in need for some detox. By cleansing our system of there unnatural substances our body is able to function more efficiently and, as a result, accomplish our goals – in this case: losing weight.
Second, detoxification is just the first step. Some people may be able to lose a few pounds during the actual cleansing process. However, the human body weight normally fluctuates within a few days, not really representing any major loss of weight.
Therefore, a 24-hour or 48-hour weight loss diet is not really a weight-loss program and will not provide significant results. It may help preparing the body for a serious weight-loss program but it should not be called a diet and it’s not recommended more than once.
Finally, diet and exercising are still the main components of a successful weigh-loss program. Natural supplements such as fat burners may help maximizing results, or perhaps accomplishing results quicker.
In conclusion, weight loss cleansing works. We just need to understand that “works” should mean preparing the body for a weight-loss diet instead of rapidly losing weight.
