Taking supplements

Posted by lucy p.

I have been taking supplements for a while but read recently that taking tablets for prolonged periods can make them less effective.  Do you think that this is true?

hello

taking supplement is not aproblem. but u should of its containdication on u r body. please concen u r physician for better health...

I have been taking my current supplements for over 12 years with no loss of effectiveness - but I only take non-synthetic vitamins and supplements.  They are food based so it's more like actaully feeding my body.

There is no basis for believing taking supplements for a long period of time can reduce its effectiveness. You should, however, consider the bio-availability of the supplement you are taking. Most multi-vitamin tablets have a bio-absorption of just 60% which means 40% goes down the drain. In contrast, multi-vitamins, like MultiVescence, are almost fully and immediately absorbed by the body because of effervescent technology.
