Fennel. Fresh fennel is apparently helps the breath and chewing it can get in between the teeth.
Polyphenols reduce anxiety. Magnolia contains two different kinds of polyphenals which help reduce anxiety by lowering cortisol levels.
In what form?. How do you *take* magnolia? It's a tree right? With flowers? I've never heard of a supplement.
How Southern Belle!. I have a bunch of magnolia soaps that I bought in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. Places like Hove Perfumes and Bourbon Street Perfumes (both online, too) have magnolia perfumes, soaps, lotions, etc. They are made from local REAL magnolias, so they will have all that goodness. I have to get back to you about whether it cures anxiety...maybe I should order some bubble bath!

The comment about fennel (posted below) made me laugh. Are you anxious about fresh breath? :)

That's interesting about the magnolia and it makes sense that the polyphenols are good for reducing anxiety. From what I understand, St. John's Wort does the same thing, correct?

Actually, it's magnolia bark that you are reading about...it's mostly in pill form, but I think some herbalists sell it in dried form (the Chinese have used it for a long time).  It's anti-anxiety without sedating you (suppresses release of cortisol, which is at its highest levels at night...that's why all that food you eat at night goes RIGHT to fat!), has few side effects, but in higher doses does make you sleepy.

LOL...I think I sound like a bit of a saleslady for the stuff. :)
