does either b12 or potassium supplements cause a change in how food tastes? Bad or metallic taste to food?

because of an anemic situation my father is taking b12 and because of the use of lasix he is taking potassium --- he says everything he eats tastes bad and I was wondering if it was one of these or one of his other medicines
