Be smart about your vitamins

Posted by Mike M.

When taking vitamins there are a few rules to go by according to Joy Bauer, the TODAY nutritionist:

  1. Drink plenty of fluids
  2. Only purchase vitamins with a "USP verified" logo. This means:
    1. What’s on the label is in the bottle -- no more, no less.
    2. It doesn’t contain harmful levels of contaminants.
    3. It will break down properly in your body.
    4. It has been made under good manufacturing processes.

We do need to read our vitamin labels and get the best for our bodies. Cheaper brands really don't save us all that much in money. If you look at the poor and questionable property you are putting in your body when you use cheaper brands, you'd spend more for a better product.
Thank you Mike M. That is so true. I am an associate with Usana Health Sciences and they have all those qualifications and seals to prove it! Olympic athletes even take them because there is an athlete guarantee that they won't test positive for contaminated substances. Email me for the best prices - actually you will pay what I pay for my own products.
