Ascorbic Acid Flush

Posted by Tracii H.

Vitamin C has potent antiviral and immune-boosting properties. I find that, when I feel like I'm coming down with any illness, taking 1,000 milligrams of vitamin C per hour prevents the illness from progressing. This procedure, called the ascorbic acid flush, should only be performed using buffered or esterified varieties of vitamin C with no added yeast, wheat, milk, or preservatives. Individuals with a history of kidney disease or diabetes should not perform an ascorbic acid flush and anyone interested should first consult a doctor.

I did the flush yesterday. Took 85g of LEF Buffered C. Today I'm tired & achy as usual. I have yeast overgrowth. I'm afriad the yeast may have also "flushed" any good bacteria I have mananged to build up.

Unfortunately the flush part is basically the laxative effect of excessive Vitamin C
