Dan Osman climbs (or shall I say runs) up a vertical 400 foot rock in just over 4 minutes. This is amazing to watch because he is so quick and he uses no ropes or support.

LarissaFeb 26 2008Yes, this is dangerous and I don't recommend anyone try this, but Dan Osman was known for this. He actually died from a climb he did with rope... the rope failed.Reply

Kristen D.Feb 26 2008Was he trying to set a record? Why wouldn't you wear a helmet at least? One slip even 20-30 feet up without some kind of head/body protection could have proven fatal during this attempt.
I felt scared for him, even though I already read of his untimely death in Larisa's post.Reply
