So, day 2 of this whole blogging thing and I'm not cooking dinner tonight. My sister and her husband got married on October 23, 2010 and some of his co-workers are having a dinner for them tonight so we will be in attendance. I've never been to this restaurant before...Longhorn Steak House...for obvious reasons (steak house) but it should be good times. Since I knew this morning that I wouldn't have a dish to share...I decided to let you in on the lunch I made for myself...there is zero cooking involved. You can usually count on me taking a wrap and salt-less pretzels to work for lunch...unless I forget to get it out of the fridge...4:30 in the morning is really early for my brain to be fully functioning. Here was my wrap for today...
Whole wheat wrap, spicy mustard, spinach, broccoli, shredded monterey jack, and....drum roll please...HOT PEPPERS! I'm obsessed with spicy, hot food...I will put hot sauce on just about anything. These hot peppers are awesome and definitely my favorite. When my sweet Aunt Bev goes to Chicago, she always brings me back a jar (thank you!!!). You can "wrap" up just about anything and it makes for a yummy, mess-less lunch. My other favorite wrap is balsamic syrup, spinach, feta cheese, black olives, and dried cranberries...you should give them both a try!
Roll it up, add chips or fruit and you are ready for lunch! I have to admit that I went a bit "pepper happy" this morning and I was sweating at my desk by the time I finished this wrap but it was soooo good! By the way, I love pretzels because they are yummy...my co-workers like pretzels because I'm not blowing sour cream & onion/ bbq / nacho cheese in their faces for the rest of the afternoon...so everyone is happy. The weekend is officially here...wish me good luck at Longhorn!
