Weekend Recap: Dothan City Fest Edition

Posted Apr 01 2012 2:21pm
Friday night started off with a really tough decision.....
"Hmmm, do I want squirrel or skunk for dinner?  Woofie!"
While Salvador went back and forth between his dinner choices, Forrest and I had a wild Friday night at home...cleaning.  It's that time of the year again when the Pom sheds hair balls like it's his job - I'm not a fan.  Anyway, around 9 o'clock the husband wanted food.....
Green curry chicken....Salvador's meal might actually look more appetizing.Forrest loved it, ate every bite, and then fell asleep on the couch.     Thanks to Salvador's 5:00 am chirp, we were up and running errands early.  At least he volunteered to chauffeur us around..... "Learn to drive or get off the road!!!  Woofiehonkhonk!"     After hitting up Lowe's, Home Depot, Target, Old Navy, Pet Smart, and Eagle Eye Outfitters all before 11:00 am (whoa!), we arrived home just in time for lunch...... Forrest loves a chili dog.I had a salad and ate at the kitchen island because I couldn't handle it.     Around 3:00 pm, we met up with Sister and Dave, Kristen and Jeremy for an afternoon downtown at the Dothan City Fest.....
A sisters shout out to Ma & Pa:  Come see us!  We love and miss y'all! Two of my favorites!
We walked around the streets, listened to live music, checked out the gumbo cook-off, and watched Sister eat three too many corn dogs..... Apparently the theme of this weekend was dogs - hot, chili, corn, and fluffy. Forrest and I probably couldn't make it in this small townwithout these four.  Please don't ever move and ifyou do...just know we will be following - like it or not, ha!

These two put in a request to find a television for the basketball game.... I blew Forrest away in the March Madness bracket this year.  From the look of his face, he's still mad about it :)     And finally the night ended with a rare occurrence......  a family photo with all four of us (see Dave's face above in the mirror).
