The problem with most vegan desserts is the people making them try to be MORE than vegan. Like vegan alone isn’t enough, they want to make everything wheat free, sugar free and gluten free. I just want tasty vegan desserts that impress my friends, vegan or otherwise.
A vegan cupcake should taste like a regular cupcake. That is how I do my recipes or I don’t put them out. If my vegan butter tarts, cheesecake, cookies or any other recipe doesn’t pass muster with my non vegan friends and family, you won’t find it here.
You don’t have to be vegan!
Lots of people enjoy my desserts, you don’t have to be vegan or lactose intolerant to enjoy my recipes. Try something new, surprise your friends the next time you entertain. Vegan Desserts here Confession!
I didn’t create all of my recipes from scratch. I “veganize” good recipes by altering things until the taste is perfect. My friend Aileen shared her pie recipes with me, now that I have made them vegan she can’t tell the difference from her old recipe.
You DON’T need eggs to bind everything when baking. I have discovered some easy substitutes you can find anywhere.
