This organic tempeh is made up of organic soybeans, millet, brown rice, and barley.....sounds scrumptious, right? Well that's not what Forrest thought when he saw it...I think his exact words were "This does not look appetizing at all" and there was fear in his eyes. I sprinkled the tempeh with garlic, parsley, and steak seasoning and pan-fried the slices in an olive oil - dale's seasoning mixture. The tempeh is like a sponge so you could marinate it in anything...I'm going to try using soy sauce next time with vegetables. I thought it turned out decent....probably won't be craving it anytime soon though. After Forrest conquered the tempeh, he decided to man-up and tackle this green monster.....
This monster of a beer is the Southern Tier Unearthly Imperial IPA and is a big ole 22 ouncer. Obviously, you can't buy this beer in Alabama because of the 16 oz law so this was one Forrest brought back while he was working in Atlanta. The Unearthly has a slightly creamy body and has a flavor of floral hops, citrus, and caramel malt. The beer man gives this Unearthly IPA a 9 out of 10...not too shabby! Tonight we are headed to La Parilla with the Jackson clan. Forrest's sister, Eliz, and baby Isla are in town from North Carolina so we are excited to catch up with her and see our niece (the cutest baby ever with the chunkiest legs I have ever seen). Buenas noches!
