Soy Good for You!

By now, the health benefits of soy (preventing breast cancer, getting rid of bad cholesterol, being a great source of lean protein) have all but infiltrated our dieting consciousness, but soy has some drawbacks as well. In fact, processing soy to a purified state actually works to break up proteins, so soy protein bars, fake meat, and smoothies might be weaker sources of lean protein than you think. This means that quality is much more important than quantity - whole sources that sneak into your diet even in small amounts on a daily basis are more important than overloading your meals with soy products that might be overprocessed.
