Smoothie and Shake Recipes

Posted Feb 19 2013 1:43pm
All weight loss smoothies on the The Mummy Shape School weight loss plans are made using Juiceplus+ Complete which comes in 2 delicious flavours (French Vanilla and Dutch Chocolate) – these healthy smoothie and shake recipes are here to make these plans fun and nutritious at the same time. I am proud that all the weight loss shakes and smoothies are designed to be safe and healthy recipes to help you lose your post baby weight.

The weight loss shakes and smoothies on all Mummy Shape School plans are meant to be fun. They are not meant to be the watery or overly sickening typical meal replacement weight loss shakes that are commonly used today. They are nutritious, satisfying and bursting with flavour, texture and colour so you don’t get bored.

We recommend adding foods such as fruit, ice and sometimes milled flaxseed to the weight loss smoothies to make them even more nutritious, satisfying and interesting.

You can use dairy milk, rice milk or almond milk for your weight loss smoothies – the key point is to make sure that they are low fat and of course if you or your baby is dairy intolerant steer clear of cows milk. I always suggest mums to start considering reducing their dairy intake anyway as it can make you bloated so why not try rice or almond milk as a good alternative.
