I’m in Detroit with my husband, visiting his family. We love spending time here, and are always excited to find new places to eat. Last year, we went a little crazy over Slows . This year, it seems to be Seva that has captured our attention. In fact, we went 3 times in a week.
The first two times were in Detroit, the second was at the flagship restaurant in Ann Arbor (after visiting Zingermans –it was quite a day of food!).
The yam fries are a must for a starter. They are thin and crispy, just like they should be–the dipping sauce is also quite tasty.
My favorite dish so far has been the enchiladas calabaza –butternut squash, cream cheese, green chilis, spicy tomato sauce with cheddar and monterey jack cheese. We’ve also tried the seva club, the tlt (with tempeh), the grilled pesto, and the eggs veracruz. All were really tasty.
The highlight of our meal, though, was the goat cheese cake. If you haven’t tried goat cheese cake, Seva is a great place to do it. It’s out of this world!
