Overnight Oatgurt

This will be a short post because my sweet Daddy is on his way to Dothan!  He has a business meeting in Eufaula (45 mins from Dothan) tomorrow morning so he offered to take Sister and me to dinner....and we aren't passing up a free meal ;)  J Wayne requested to go somewhere new so that makes it a little difficult...Dothan is full of chain restaurants.  One restaurant has come to mind...RJ Saxons (check them out on facebook).  It's located in downtown Dothan and is one of our favorite restaurant/ FULL bars.  The food is fresh (pizza, sandwiches, quesdillas, salads, etc) and the beer list goes on forever...obviously, the latter is the reason Forrest loves it the most.  I do want to share my quick breakfast / any time snack with you guys....overnight oatgurt!  Let me go ahead and say that I'm obsessed with yogurt...well Chobani Greek Vanilla yogurt to be specific....

I usually eat half the Chobani yogurt by itself and when the bowl is half empty...then it's time for oatgurt!  I stir in one packet of Quaker maple and brown sugar oatmeal (of course you can use any kind), stir it up and refrigerate over night.  During the night, the oatmeal absorbs the yogurt and softens.  I always add fruit to my oatgurt....usually berries with a drizzle of honey and a dash of ground cinnamon...

It may not look appetizing (especially in this picture) but I could live off this stuff!  It's my favorite quick and healthy breakfast / snack!  J Wayne is officially in the house....I'm headed out for a Saxon's veggie sandwich, a water (Michelob Ultra), and family time!
