if Paramahansa Yogananda was a vegetarian, and taught that one should not overeat, why was he obese?

Maybe sometimes people make good teachers or doctors because of their knowledge, but it doesn't always mean that they apply it to their own lifestyles. 
I don't think Paramahansa Yogananda ever advocated skinny over chubby or vice versa. I doubt he was as interested in the shape of one's body as he was in it's strength and overall well being. That been said, I think he was pretty healthy in that sense considering he could sit in the lotus posture and meditate for hours and do the exercises mentioned in his lessons. I believed he coined the term "propereatarian" to drive his point home. :) x
