hot air, pumpkins, and a marching band

Posted Oct 08 2012 6:13pm
We had a perfect fall weekend filled with chilly weather, pumpkin picking, live music, and lots of hot air.....
It's the beginning of  River Rocks  and there is no shortage of events to attend.  Friday night we made our way  to the  3 Sisters Bluegrass Festival  and were amazed by all the balloons in the park...
"What the heck are those?! Woofienothanks!" The outdoor concert was extremely crowded but we were able to grab a seat, eat pizza, and find our friends in the sea of people.  It was late when we arrived home and so we decided to sleep in as late as possible on Saturday morning; however, the marching band had other plans....
"Make it stopppp! Woof!" There was no going back to sleep once the parade got started so I whomped up one of my favorite breakfast dishes.... Toasted wheat bread, smashed avocado, tomato, and scrambled eggs for us... and local spent brewer's barley bones for the pom. "Hand over the bone or else!! Woof!" Before watching the Auburn game, we hit up a pumpkin patch..... Salvie's parents were more excited than he was. Pumpkin pickers.
