Did you notice it? Following Fit is looking just a little bit different today.
I am not talking about the theme redesign — though I have to be honest, I love the way this blog looks now. I have seriously stared at it for at least 30 minutes every day since I finished it Sunday night. That’s not because I’m proud of my work; this is still a stock theme, and all I did was make a background image. I am just in love with how crisp and modern this design is — I love that comments show up on the home page, I love the look of the nested comments, I love the color coordination, and I love the clean graphics and fonts. Score for me!
No, the change to which I am referring is in the left sidebar, below my blogroll. That white and pink badge. I have been selected to be one of FitFluential’s Ambassadors, and I am kind of excited about it!
FitFluential, Inc. is the brain child of Kelly Olexa and Jennifer Edwards, both of whom have influential blogs and have made names for themselves in the fitness industry. Their idea was to create a powerful network of digitally-engaged bloggers and social media users and to use the power of that network to connect with fitness brands. In Phase One of the network’s growth, they’ve chosen a handful of “Ambassadors” to represent FitFluential in different markets, and I have been fortunate enough to be chosen to represent my little Buffalo, NY!
Up to now, I resisted aligning this blog with any online networks — I even resisted allowing advertising on here — because I truly wanted to find the right people with whom to work. The FitFluential concept interested me from the start, and now, having seen the other Ambassadors and their wide array of backgrounds and fitness interests, I am not only happy to be involved but honored. Just take a look at some of the people involved!
So I am excited about this! And I can’t wait to see what this network can do!
