Community Pie

Posted Jan 28 2013 8:01pm
There is a new local pizza place in downtown Chattanooga and naturally, Forrest had been keeping a close eye on its grand opening status.  The entire location was remodeled and I received a progress report from the husband on a weekly basis.  We made an attempt on the first Friday they opened but failed due to the long wait.  Forrest sulked for an entire week so we devised a fool-proof plan on Saturday afternoon which included eating dinner at a geriatric time.  We put on our strolling shoes (warm coats too!!) and left our apartment around 3:30 pm leaving a trail of drool along the entire two mile trek.

We crossed our fingers as we opened the front door and were thrilled to be seated immediately...
This joint specializes in neapolitan pizzas, homemade gelato, and craft beer!  His: Pork Confit Pizza (wowza!)
Hers: Raw Kale Salad (plus his crust)
Trying to wrap his head around what is about to happen
And then we ordered a double gelato to accompany us on our 40 degree walk home.... Classy  Mexican Hot Chocolate + Salted Caramel I'm not sure if we liked the pizza or gelato more but thankfully we don't have to choose. If you find yourself in Chattanooga, Community Pie is a delicious must-eat. 850 Market Street  (next to Miller Plaza)
